We’ll be flying to England soon and, on this visit, rather than taking a side trip to the Continent, we’re going to explore National Trust properties in Lancashire, Cumbria, and Yorkshire. We’ve purchased a dual membership in The Royal Oak Foundation, and we expect to get our money’s worth in our visits to National Trust sites in the north, including Little Moreton Hall in Cheshire,  Town End, Sizergh, Dalton Castle, and Hill Top in the Lake District, Gawthump Hall and Castlerigg Stone Circle in Lancashire and Cumbria, and Nunnington Hall and East Riddleston Hall in Yorkshire. We also plan to have a tour and tasting at the Wensleydale Creamery and an Easter Sunday picnic in the Dales. Three days in York will be the frosting on this Spring’s cake. Regular readers can expect to see pictures of our odyssey in upcoming newsletters.
