Part 2: First Winter -- January to May 2005 -- p. 4

By the end of February, our primary timber and clearing needs had been met, and our pocketbook was feeling the strain. We called a temporary halt to milling, and Steve and Tom moved their equipment to a new work site. Left alone, we were able to to ease up a little, visiting the site to burn brush, and work at clearing whenever we had a few spare hours.

When it snowed, we cleared our driveway and walks in Conway, then drove to Ashfield to plow out the driveway and worksite.

We never visited the site without our camera, and our visits were always rewarded by vistas of simple beauty.
