Virginia Strom Precourt’s pencil work fully populated the walls of her studio in Dover, Massachusetts. “Playground” was the first step in a finished “New Boy in Town” polyfresco that has long been in a private collection. Forty-five years after “New Boy” had found a new home, Virginia was still drawn to the power of her initial sketch, which she kept close to her easel the rest of her life.
