Reflective bits of mica—the stone Virginia Strom Precourt used so often in her polyfresco panels—light up the sky in “Starlight”, a three-dimensional piece of work she completed in her early 70s. Stars and skies—and the occasional interruptive cloud—were elements that appeared throughout her work. And she spent her life chasing after what she felt was the perfect hue of blue.
