Whether it was the dirt road alongside the pond that adjoined her Dover, Massachusetts studio, a dock in a fishing village in midcoast Maine, or a quiet spot on the water’s edge in France’s Bay of Biscay, Virginia Strom Precourt found the energy and vision that would inform her art. “Silent Reflections” was drawn almost directly from the sketchpad she had carried on a quiet afternoon stroll along an isolated coastline in Vendee.
