A 17th-century bronze mortar and pestle

Found in England, this small mortar with pestle is heavily decorated, with four ribs of baluster form framing four interesting humanoid forms. The pestle, which appears to be original, is long and slender, with a finial at the end opposite its masher and a pair of rings at its midpoint. The entire piece is deeply patinated.
