A rare Queen Anne* piece dating to the mid-1700’s, this foiled tangerine paste (12 x 15mm) is closed-back set in a rounded back setting with dogtooth or sawtooth edges. This luscious piece was transformed into a ring at some time in the past, most likely from a brooch or an earring. The gold D-shaped shank has been attached at the shoulders. Because of the fancy, oval-faceted cut to this ring, it is stunning. It is currently a size 8 - 8 ½ but could be sized.

*Though Queen Anne reigned 1702 – 1714, the style of jewelry created after her passing is generally referred to as ‘Queen Anne.’
